The website “www.megaprojects.com” and the internet services linked to it are made available to you by Megaprojects B.V. (hereinafter: Megaprojects), having its registered office in Roosendaal and registered in the commercial register of the Chamber of Commerce Noord-Brabant under number 64626547. With respect to the protection of your privacy, the following policy applies.
Megaprojects guarantees, to the extent possible, the protection of the privacy of all visitors to the site. This means that we also require maximum efforts from our cooperation partners when monitoring personal data.
Below you can read which personal data we process, what we do with this personal data, within which legal framework this takes place and what you can do if you have any questions.
Processing of personal data
As part of our services, Megaprojects records data (name, place of residence and address, your telephone numbers, your e-mail address). Megaprojects uses this data for the performance of the relevant agreement, for its other services and to keep customers informed of (new) products and services of Megaprojects of its group companies or of carefully selected third parties. In doing so, Megaprojects tries to take your preferences into account. If you do not wish to receive information about (new) products and services, please write to Megaprojects at info@megaprojects.com with the subject “Address registration”. We will then have your data blocked for this purpose.
Sharing data with external parties
Your data will only be shared with external parties if necessary. However, Megaprojects never sells data to other parties. As Megaprojects considers the security of personal data very important, Megaprojects also requires this from external parties with whom we share your personal data. This party may therefore only use your data for the purpose for which the external party was given the data.
Megaprojects may also be legally required by government agencies or other parties to hand over your data. Megaprojects then shares only the strictly necessary data.
Duration of storage
Megaprojects does not store your personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Megaprojects does not work with special personal data.
Customer queries
If you have asked us a question via email, this email (including your personal data) will be deleted within one month.
Applications
If you applied for and were hired, Megaprojects is obliged to delete data such as CV, cover letter, correspondence with applicant and references within one year. If you are not hired, the documents will be deleted within one month.
Tax retention obligation
Megaprojects is required by law to keep its records for a period of seven years.
Warranty
In order to provide a legal guarantee to consumers, personal data must be retained. For some products, the guarantee is two years, but the data must still be kept for seven years as indicated under ‘tax retention obligation’. For some products, the warranty period is 10 years and in this case the data is therefore kept for 10 years.
Delete your data?
We store your data on a (secure) server. Would you like to view, amend or delete your data, or do you have any other questions about this? Please contact us at info@megaprojects.com. We may accept or refuse a request, depending entirely on the type of request.
You can ask us to delete your data and to stop using it. If you have previously given consent, you can withdraw it again. However, we may retain (if necessary) the data you had already consented to.
You may receive certain data from us. This applies to electronic data you have passed on to us yourself and data we have used for an agreement we have entered into with you or for which you have given permission. Think, for example, of requesting an invoice.
In some cases, we may refuse your request, for example if you ask us to delete your data, but we need it for tax reasons or as evidence in complaints.
